Destructable Model Terrain: Brick wall

Description

So after my first test (see here fav.me/d8khtfs) I tried to do this with a simple brick wall.
Brickwork has the advantage that I do not have to hide the grooves in the hardfoam if I make the cuts along the lines of the bricks, which is the common way for brickwork to fall apart anyways.
This model also showed me that a baseplate of some kind is necessary to keep the lowest layer from falling apart easily if all the top parts are removed.

The only problem that airises here is that the removed parts have the wire connections, which brickwork does not have of course, so they cannot be added as decorative rubble. But then again if brickwork gets destroyed it usually crumbles to very small bits so removing the destroyed parts and maybe adding some model bricks as debris (as I did in my Porsche Tiger photo here: fav.me/d795yt9) works good aswell.

As you can see, applying this technique here allows for made-to-measure cover for anti-tank guns, and all changeable ingame.

Again comments, suggestions, ideas, opinions, two cents, all welcome! :)

It's a very clever idea.  A proper, marketable prototype would probably need to be digitally sculpted and printed to test for production purposes.

I'm not sure how reliably marketable such pieces would be, though.  I've been wargaming across dozens of systems for over twenty years and can count the number of times I would've liked destructible terrain on one hand.  Even then, the lack of destructible terrain barely detracted from the fun of the game at all.
