Description

1:72 assembly kit by "Revell" which I assembled, glued, colored and put into a nice scenery.

A Me 262 A-1a. Compared to my tanks I was really surprised at how big it is. Even bigger than the Tiger II!

The pilot of this machine was fighting for Germany in World War 2 like all the others. But his wife was jewish and he loved her deeply. He managed to hide her from the nazis for years, but then one day they came and took her. If he wasn't such a good pilot he would have been taken away too, but they needed him in the war. So he was given the choice to live and fight or die together with his wife.
He managed to make them give him a few hours to think about it and he talked to his wife. She said that she wanted him to live. At first he did not want to let her go, but it was her wish and he accepted it.

Later, some hours after she was brought away, he felt extremely guilty. Soon, this emotion turned into extreme hate. Hate upon the nazis and hate upon the society.

During the next night, he sneaked to his plane and flew away. To a field near an unimportant village.
There, he got some paint and crossed out the swastika on his plane. From then on, he was a lonely fighter between the fronts, fighting who he thinks to be evil. Allies bombing cities and nazis trying to defend their factories and command centres.

He shot down many aircrafts of both war parties, always appearing unexpected and disappearing likewise.

Finally he got shot down by a russian aircraft on the eastern front very close to the end of the war. His plane hit the ground and exploded, but nobody saw more because this happened in the middle of a firefight.
This is the last time anyone has seen the mysterious pilot whose name has been forgotten.

But there are legends about an old couple living in a village in Poland, near one of the former concentration camps. It is said that the man was a pilot in the second world war. Yet nothing precise is known...
