Scratch built Zerstoerer 1934

1:1200 model by Baryonyx, built and painted by me.

When I was looking around for 1:1200 warship kits I got a bit disappointed that there are so few around. When I then came across images of models someone made from scratch I thought: Well, it should be doable.
So I took something small to test it out and that's how this Zerstörer 1934 class destroyer was created. Notable ships of this class include Z1 Leberecht Maass (which some might know from World of Warships) and Z4 Richard Beitzen which was quite active during the war.

I made it from a variety of materials such as hard foarm for the base hull and the funnels; wood for the turrets; paper for the thin, protruding decks; cardboard for the thick deck parts; thin wire for the gun barrels and regular wire for the torpedo launchers.
